1. Flowing Water
Draw flowing water to represent the creation of the world. In the beginning, the universe was formless and empty. God brought order out of chaos, creating the heavens and the earth by His word. Everything that exists flows from His power, much like life-giving water. This is a symbol of God’s creative act, where He speaks, and life springs forth from what was once only void.

2. The Large Flower
God caused all kindsof living things to flourish: trees bearing fruit, plants blooming, and animals roaming land, sea, and sky. He made a beautiful garden called Eden, a place of abundant life and harmony. This large flower represents the splendor of creation, brimming with potential and goodness.

3. Two Flowers
God then formed the first man and woman, Adam and Eve, in His own image. As His image bearers, humans hold a sacred responsibility to care for creation and treat each other with kindness. These two prominent flowers stand for Adam and Eve, carrying the special calling to mirror God’s goodness on earth.

4. The Snake
From the start, there was only one rule in Eden: do not eat the fruit from the Tree of Knowledge. Yet a fallen angel, disguised as a serpent, deceived Adam and Eve. By taking a bite of the forbidden fruit, they broke God’s command, inviting separation and hardship into the world.

5.Rotten Stem
Because of Adam and Eve’s choice to disobey, their bond with God changed forever. Like a flower’s stem turning rotten, sin entered the human heart. They had to leave Eden, forced to live apart from the perfect fellowship they once enjoyed. Sin, at its core, is choosing a path that goes against God’s will.

6.Star
Despite their fall, God’s love for humanity remained. He set in motion a rescue plan to heal the damage caused by sin and eventually bring humanity back into His presence. This star symbolizes the hope and promise that one day, the broken connection would be restored, and God’s children would find their way home again.

What is Henna?

Henna art in African culture is a beautiful tradition where people use a natural dye to create temporary designs on their skin, especially hands and feet. These designs aren’t just pretty patterns; they often have special meanings, like bringing good luck or protection. The art style changes from region to region, with North Africa using detailed geometric patterns, West Africa using unique line techniques, and the Horn of Africa favouring flowing, floral designs. Henna is very important during celebrations like weddings, where brides get elaborate designs. It’s a way to show cultural identity and pass down traditions through generations, making it a significant part of African heritage.
